We are only a few short weeks away from the 2011 NBA Draft. As, we edge closer to finding out if the Dallas Maverick or Miami Heat will take home a championship ring, it is time to start thinking a little closer to home. San Antonio is pretty close to Plano, so I’m sure there are plenty of Spurs Fans around town. Many people are already making some strong predictions on who the spurs will pick in this years draft. They have the 29th and 59th pick this year.

Check out what one Mock Drafter think is the perfect pick for the Mavericks…

 JaJuan Johnson, PF, Purdue

Johnson would be a nice complement to Tim Duncan in the paint. Although he gets pushed around down low, Johnson added weight this year and raised his level of play. His fluidity, length and athleticism will be advantageous at the NBA level, despite being extremely skinny playing in the post.

Kyle Singler

Has received comparisons to both Larry Bird and Dirk Nowitzki Has a great deal of potential as a pro and will look to follow in the footsteps of past wing forwards Grant Hill, Shane Battier and Mike Dunleavy at Duke.

Also, Jimmy Butler a small forward from Marquette is a named talked about for the 59th pick for the Spurs.

Your Turn: Who do you think is the best pick for the San Antonio Spurs in the 2011 NBA Draft? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think…
